On behalf of the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance, I want to congratulate the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax NS on the opening of their new and expanded state of the art Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
An epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) is an inpatient unit run by specialists in epilepsy. These centers provide in-depth diagnostic and treatment services for people with difficult to diagnose or treat seizures or epilepsy. This unit will make a difference in the lives of persons living with epilepsy in the Maritime Region.
The reception for the opening of the new Epilepsy Monitoring Unit will be held on May 30 from 6-7:30 pm at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Royal Bank Theatre, 1796 Summer Street, Halifax Nova Scotia.
Anyone wishing to attend can RSVP by emailing krista.langille@qe2foundation.ca at the QEII foundation.
